Q: How long has Joubert Pro Hunt been a Hunting Outfit in South Africa ?
A: We registered our Hunting Outfitter business in 1999, Leon (Spyker) has been an active professional hunter since 1990.
Q: Is JPH a member of any industry organization ?
A: We are a member of SCI, SAWJ, PHASA and we are both qualified SA Tour Guides.
Q: Are your guides registered with the relevant authorities ?
A: All our guides are qualified licensed professional hunters. Kevin Kruger, Storm Joubert & Abrie Zaayman are very active in hunting and all of them have more than 5 years experience in dangerous and big game hunting.
Q: Is it safe to travel in South Africa ?
A: Traveling to any country in the world does involve a certain amount of risk. It is however very important to utilize local knowledge to avoid areas of high risk. JPH has been conducting safaris for over 20 years and we have never had a serious incident.
Q: Are your safaris/tours family friendly?
A: Almost all of the safaris conducted by JPH are suitable for families who wish to experience one of the world’s most remarkable regions on a guided safari or photographic tours.
Q: What should I bring and what medical considerations are there?
A: We provide a list of suggested items as well as some information on medical considerations which are prudent in the travel info section of our website.
Q: Do I need to pack my ammo seperately from my rifle case?
A: Yes, ammo in a small case locked and your rifles in your rifle case locked.
Q: Where will I be met?
A: You can be met at any location of your choice in the applicable city or alternatively you will be met upon arrival at OR Tambo International airport by a tour operator or one of our professional hunters. At Vic Falls International airport, Leon will personally be there to assist you with all the necessary paperwork.
Q: How long before my trophies are exported?
A: Depending on if you want to mount your trophies in SA or just dip and pack, anything between 8 – 12 months.
